Directions to the past at Millard's Crossing
Millard's Crossing Historic Village is located on the north side of Nacogdoches at 6020 North Street (Business 59). Directions to the Village are:
FROM THE NORTH: US Hwy 59 and US Hwy 259 converge and become Business 59 just north of Nacogdoches. Millard's Crossing is located 1.5 miles south of this convergence. If you are coming into town on US Hwy 259, keep on straight as it turns into Business 59. If you are coming in on US Hwy 59, TURN OFF AT THE BUSINESS 59 SIGN. If you do not turn off US Hwy 59 turns into West Loop 224 which by-passes most of Nacogdoches as well as Millard's Crossing.
FROM THE SOUTH: You have three options.
Option 1: Stay on US Hwy 59 which turns into Business 59 and goes straight through town. You will pass the college (Stephen F. Austin State University) and two miles north of it you will come to a light where Business 59 and Loop 224 intersect. Wal-Mart will be on your right. Keep going straight. Millard's Crossing Historic Village is 1/2 mile past this intersection on the right (east side) of the highway. As you approach the 1/2 mile mark on your odometer, look for two green highway signs on the right. Past those will be Old Post Oak Road. Turn onto this road where you will be at the entry of Millard's Crossing Flea Market. The Village is right next to this market and the sign is easily seen from this point.
Option 2: From US Hwy 59 turn right on Loop 224 (East Loop) and follow it around until it circles back to Business 59 on the north side of town. Wal-Mart will be on your left. Turn right on Business 59 and go 1/2 mile. As you approach the 1/2 mile mark on your odometer, look for two green highway signs on the right. Past those will be Old Post Oak Road.
