9. The Methodist Parsonage (1900) - The house was originally located on North Fredonia Street just north of the First Methodist Church downtown. The fancy wooden trim on the doors, windows, and moldings display typical Eastlake Victorian style, and the high ceilings allow hot air to rise while the cooler air drops below for cooling in the summertime. The rear portion of this house was so badly deteriorated that much of it could not be moved, and Mrs. Thomas replaced the missing portion with a modern kitchen/dinette area spanning the front two rooms so it could be used as a guest house for visiting friends and family.
