8. The Lera Thomas House - This house is put together from two homes once located on North Street. The front part of the house was originally located at the corner of North Street and Lewis, where Tipton Ford is now located. The "four-square" was built in the 1920s with a brick front porch and sixteen foot ceilings. Mrs. Thomas removed the porch and added numerous elegant features, including French cut-glass doors from an old home in Shreveport, LA, and windows from the Ross Sterling home in Houston.
